Let's check out the recipe!

For the Macaron Shells -

  • Almond flour... 1 cup almond flour

  • Powdered Sugar... 3/4 cup

  • Matcha Powder... 1  tbsp

  • Egg Whites... 2 large

  • Granulated sugar... 1/4 cup

  • Vanilla extract... 1/4 tsp

Adzuki bean filling -

  • Canned Koshian Adzuki paste... 1 can

  1. In a bowl, sieve in the almond flour, Matcha powder, and powdered sugar and then whisk them together.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites using an electric whisk until soft peaks form. After adding in the powdered sugar and vanilla, continue to whisk until the mixture becomes shiny and slightly stiff.

  3. Fold in the dry ingredients. Once mixed, transfer the batter into a pipping pastry bag.

  4. Pipe the batter into circles of your desired size onto a baking sheet. Let sit for a bit before transferring them into the oven.

  5. Bake the macaron shells for about 10 minutes at 325F and let cool for about 7 minutes.

  6. Transfer the Koshian Adzuki bean paste into a separate piping bag and pipe it onto half of the shells.

  7. Sandwich the shells together using the remaining shells to complete the macarons

And now it is done! -- A easy and simple afternoon treat that goes great with both a warm and iced cup of MariMatcha!
