Creamy Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream


Matcha + Ice Cream is a match made in heaven. The natural sweet and nutty flavors of the Matcha green tea pair perfectly with creamy-milky heavy cream. 

In this recipe, we are going to be learning how to make home-made matcha ice cream. With only a few simple ingredients and no additives, you might just devour all of it in guilt-free indulgence. 




(Yields 1 Pint)

  • 1 Cup of Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 Cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Condensed Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1-2 Tablespoon of Matcha Powder
  • (More or less depending on preference)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Water



  1. Whisk the Heavy Cream and sugar together in a medium-sized bowl until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is creamy and frothy. 

  2. Add to the mixture the condensed milk and top it with the vanilla extract. 

  3. Meanwhile, mix the Matcha powder in water to completely dilute the clumps of powder. (This will make it easier to mix). 

  4. Pour the Matcha mixture into the bowl and mix everything together. 

  5. Transfer to a sealable container and store in the freezer for 8-12 hours. 

  6. Or, prepare it in an ice-cream-maker! 

  7. DONE -- Delicious & Healthy Matcha Ice Cream!
